Peace FM is a private radio station in the Greater Accra Region that ultimately is run by the Despite Group of Companies.

It is one of the leading radio stations in the country as it ranked first nationwide, with an audience share at 9.7%. Based on the same survey by GeoPoll for the first quarter of 2017, Peace FM is also placed first in the Greater Accra Region with an audience share at 14,7%, and popular in the Eastern (19.2%) and the Central (14.90%) Region. The audience uses Peace FM to get informed: During the Election Day in 2016 for example, Peace FM had the highest listenership peaking at 870,000 viewers from 6-8am.

The station delivers services and programmes to platforms ranging from news, online radio and audio under its corporate brand, ‘Obiara Se Eye’ - Everyone Says It Is Good. Thus - more than just a traditional broadcaster - Peace FM is today evolving into a content company that produces local, national and international news, sports, business, current affairs, information and much more. The station’s contribution to national development has been acclaimed resulting in several awards: Peace FM was for example adjudged Radio Station of the Year 2006 and it also got awards for its morning show, Kokrokoo, hosted by Kwami Sefa Kayi.

The radio station is registered to Despite Music Productions Limited. Despite Music Productions Limited again belongs to Despite Group of Companies under which Hello FM, Okay FM as well as a TV station, UTV operates. The official profile at the Registrar General’s Department shows that Osei Kwame - one of the most successful and richest businessmen in Ghana - owns 100 % of the shares of Despite. Peace FM was said to be a dream of Mr Osei Kwame, which became a reality on May 25, 1999 with the objective of demonstrating support for the local music industry which was on a rapid decline then, put Ghanaian culture above all else. Thus most of the programmes on the station are broadcast predominantly in Twi.
