Joy Prime was set up in 2009 by the Multimedia Broadcasting Company Limited. Multimedia Broadcasting Company Limited started its operation in 1995 with a radio station called Joy FM broadcasting from Accra. Over the past two decades, then it has grown to become a conglomerate operating other media outlets such as Adom FM, Hitz FM, Asempa FM, Nhyira FM, Luv FM, myjoyonline, adomonline.com etc.
