Angel FM

Angel FM is located in Kumasi and has been on air since 2007. Angel FM is one of the popular stations in the Ashanti region and surrounding areas, it ranks fourth in the Region with an audience share of 6.70%, based on GeoPoll's market research report for the first quarter in 2017. Nationwide, it gets has an audience share of 1.55%.

Angel FM belongs to Angel Broadcasting Services Limited which is owned by Dr. Kwaku Oteng according to information from the Registrar General's Department. The company has two listed directors: Dr Kwaku Oteng and Fransisca Oteng -Mensah, his Daughter. Angel Broadcasting Limited operates Accra based Angel TV, a digital television station as well as a number of commercial radio stations including Angel 96.1FM and Pure 95.7FM in (Kumasi), Angel 102.9FM in Accra, Angel 92.3FM and Cheers 94.9FM (Sunyani) and Cheers 94.5 (Koforidua).

The mother company, Angel Group of Companies, has further under its umbrella Angel Transport and Trading Limited, Angel Estate and Construction Limited, Angel Natural Mineral Water and Adonko Bitters Limited.

Dr. Kwaku Oteng is the CEO of the Angel Group of Companies, and owns a chain of businesses in Ghana’s herbal medicines, broadcasting, beverages and transport industries. In 2001, he made his mark on the business world with Angel Herbal Products Industry. Following the success with Angel Herbal Products, he went on to establish Angel Group of Companies. One of his daughters, who is also a listed director of the media company is the New Patriotic Party’s Member of Parliament for Kwabre East constituency in the Ashanti Region, Francisca Oteng-Mensah.

The daughter of Dr. Kwaku Oteng is a Member of Parliament of Kwabre East constituency in the Ashanti Region. She is youngest parliamentarian of the fourth republic of Ghana. Her election campaign was reported to be finance by her father.
